ABOUT

Mia Saba is a digital media editor and motion graphic designer based in Southwest Michigan.  After graduating from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and working as a commercial contract analyst, she decided to walk away from her stuffy corporate office, turning the passion of what was once a side-hustle into a full-time reality. She has since visited 16 different states, had work shown in six different countries, and edited thousands of headshots and product photos.

Art

Typically working with Copic markers on bristol board and acrylic on canvas, her designs are driven by music and fueled by synesthesia, resulting in a unique mixture of new school-esque hyper-color and intricate line work.  Her artistic influences include H.R. Giger, Shag, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali and Ivan Albright.

FX

Mia’s involvement in the film community began in high school, leading to acting opportunities in independent films during and after college.  While on set, she discovered a passion for special effects - specifically, the gross stuff.  She has created countless zombies, wounds and scars for film, television and music videos, citing popular shows such as The Walking Dead, as well as classic horror films, as inspiration.
